PC or PS4 help with decision

Some of my friends and I are holding off to buy the game because we can't decide which platform to go for. None of us has a PS4, all of us has poorly equipped PC ( dated display cards like GTX570 or lower).  Can some one please help to analysis which platform to go for?

Well with dated hardware like that a decent graphics card that can run this game is going to cost more than the PS4 alone . If you got the cash and little bit of time to build up the PC then go for that, the 60fps will be worth it alone, but it you want to play right now then you can't beat the PS4. I've been playing on PS4 since launch with no issues what so ever.

Thanks for your advise. I also want to mention we are kind of old fashioned PC gamers that are used to mouse keyboard combo in FPS games (Okay, may be this is more a RPG game then a shooter I guess). Can the PS4 use a good keyboard and mouse with this game? If so, I am all in for a new PS4 myself, LOL.

No, just the controller, but this is a 3rd person shooter game and once you get use to the controller it feels perfect.

As a PC Gamer I am going to have to push for PC, especially if that's what you're used too. I mean, as sno pro said, if you wanna play right now, than go for PS4 but if like you said is true regarding your comfort with the mouse and keyboard peripherals than you really should fix up your PCs, assuming you can afford it of course.

I play on Xbox and PC (have 30's on both). If you are only wanting to play on 1 platform the best way to decide is like this. Where will you have the most friends playing for the longest amount of time. You never want to be solo, its boring and in darkzone its a real bad chance you are taking haha. I play on 2 things because the people I am on 1 with are all RL friends and the other is since 2002 when I started playing MMO's I have met tons of people and we play games even to this day. I know at some point my RL friends will slowly die down on the game and wont want to play anymore because it will get old or they are just bored or what ever. So I always have a backup that I play when my RL friends arent on. But yea like I said if you are going to only pick one.. Pick the one with the most people with least amount of flakes that will stop playing after a month.

The game can't use mouse keyboard? I thought PS4 can but may be that's not for every game. Ah well that's a bummer.

Yeah I also remember my monitor only has a DVI port too. PS4 needs a HDMI port, right? Looks like a GTX970 is in order if I go for the PC path. Need to talk this over with my friends too.

Nice, great video card, worth every penny.

Thats not 100% true.. As if you want to use a keyboard and mouse for PS4 (I use it for Xbox) there is a known item that can help you out. www.xim4.com I use because I hate controllers its really easy to set up and use. But thats another 125$ investment you would have to go with. But at the same time it could come out cheaper then what a new pc or upgrades will cost. And a HDMI cord is maybe 20$ if you want a long one.

Holy hell that's a game changer, I wouldn't mind playing on the consoles if I had that bad boy...

i have been playing this game on both the PS4 and PC. the game is great on both systems.  it all comes down to your personal preference really. if you have done nothing but game on PC and are more comfortable on a PC, then it would be good to upgrade your PC if you have the money.  this game looks stunning on PC, not to say the game looks bad on PS4, because it doesn't. its just so much better on PC. and like others have said, you have to think of who among your friends you game with has a PS4, if the answer is none, then stick with PC. the price for a PS4 and the price of the xim4 mentioned above, you can easily upgrade your video card on your PC.

i might have to look into this xim4 since i game on all three platforms..that does look badass

The only bone I have to pick (this has nothing to do with hardware) is the PC version of the game is full of hackers. For whatever reason the devs didn't take the advice from gamers(beta) to NOT store files client side. Also the game has no anti-cheat.
