After playing the game for a while now, I've started to notice there is little in the way of differentiating yourself from other players. This is in part due to having so few skills. If you play a medic, most players have the same abilities, same for tanks. DPS changes it around a bit, but for the most part every person is about the same within their own class. I like how they have added Mods to the abilities, but it doesn't change much in the way of how the game is played. I would like to submit a few new abilities that I think would be a nice addition to the game.
Medical: Dart
Standard: Shoot a dart at an enemy, and if hit deal a slight amount of damage to the enemy for 20 seconds, while blurring the enemy's vision for 1 second every 10 seconds.
Tracer: Shoot a dart at an enemy, and if hit pulse the enemy for 30 seconds, while blurring the enemy's vision for 2 seconds every 10 seconds.
Poison: Shoot a dart at an enemy, and if hit deal damage every second for 30 seconds. The damage increases every 5 seconds until the ability expires. (This ability does not stack.)
Ability Stopper: Shoot a dart at and enemy, and if hit the enemy can not activate abilities for 10 seconds. If the abilities are refreshing, they will halt until the ability has expired. (This ability does not stack.)
Tech: Projector
Standard: Throw a projector that casts 3 projections of the player for 30 seconds. The projection has a radius of "X" meters/feet.
White Out: Throw a projector that causes a snow storm to reduce visibility for all players/AI. The projection has a radius of "X" meters/feet. Enemy players within the projection area will be unable to see player information unless pulsed.
Army: Throw a projector that casts 2 projections of each player in the group for 30 seconds. The projection has a radius of "X"meters/feet. If a projection is shot, it will expire after 5 seconds, except for the first 5 seconds the ability is cast.
Enemy: Throw a projector that causes all enemies to view each other as enemies for 15 seconds. The projection has a radius of "X" meters/feet. Enemies may cause damage to one another, but only up to "Y" damage per enemy. If this is exceed, that enemy will no longer be affected by the ability.
Security: Vest
Standard: Equip a vest that adds damage resistance from projectiles for 30 seconds.
Ballistic: Equip a vest that adds damage resistance from explosives for 30 seconds.
Flame Retardant: Equip a vest that adds damage resistance from fire for 30 seconds.
Heavy Vest: Equip a vest the reduces movement speed slightly, but greatly increases damage resistance from projectiles for 30 seconds.
This is just some abilities that I think would change the dynamic of battle in a positive more refreshing way. If nothing else it adds options for players, and in the end that is what I think this game needs is more options, and more things to do. If you have a suggestion for any of these please let me know.
