Ok Please help me understand.

as a 35+ player and with not That much skills i was wondering what is so enjoyable About killing a single player over and over in the darkzone. Its a game i know but getting gang raped by 4 vs 1 gets annoying to say the least.  Not to mention the clapping with the hands besides the dead body. As 4 vs 1 is a achievement:)

i sometimes accidently shoot a person but they do walk in front of me sometimes and i get rogue and be killed asap.  I can handle a death or two but to always be target and never extract any loot gets boring.

so long story short. Why kill a lone player ( all the time and be proud of it)  with a group. Its a game but youre playing against another person also.

They are farming you like you would farm NPCs.  It isn't nice, but killing a player gives at the very least some DZ money, and can be more lucrative, esp. if you are an accidental rogue or have a nice, fat pack on your back, or both.  It happens to me, too.  As has been said often in this forum: try to group up when you go into the Dark Zone, esp. with players you already know, b/c the experience is probably going to be better for you.

It's this kind of crap that has kept me out of the DZ for months.  Every once in a while I convince my group to go in and we try to find a spot to farm and then just when we start to get some decent stuff we get the sh*t trolled out of us.  That usually ends our DZ experiment rather quickly.  I think I've been in the DZ maybe once since 1.3 on PS4 and definitely not since UG dropped on PS4.

Like many people have suggested, PvP should be normalized and/or separated from the PvE better so everyone can enjoy the DZ.  The original concept for the DZ was great and I thought it had a lot of potential, but quickly it became crap and a waste of time for casuals like me that don't want to troll people that are trying to run a legit grind.

Typically my thoughts are met with "get gud" or GTFO, I've chosen to GTFO because I don't care to slam my d*ck in a door, let alone repeated slam it in a door.

I don't know, even though my time in the DZ often ends in rogue-derived disappointment, it doesn't always and I am still not that bothered by the wild west aspects of it, the dickish behavior, punishing difficulty, etc.  When it does go well, like my group has farmed smart and extracted full packs of good stuff three times in a session, or I manage to down/kill some rogues, or we get the second or even third supply drop in a row, or I buy a new blueprint, it feels pretty damn good.

I agree that when you're not getting trolled that DZ is challenging, rewarding and fun.  However, more often than not I find it to be a waste of time, because I end up grinding for a while and when I finally get something that I can really use or something I want I get trolled and lose it.

The DZ has become an unmoderated chatroom; a place where it's way too easy to get away with being a total douchebag.  It sucks that so many people behave the way they do when they know they can get away with it...but I guess that's human nature.

I played up to DZ level 82 solo and now have a few buddies I play with.  Thankfully they're like me and have no interest in giving people a hard time.  Hell, my buddy and I ran up to a solo's extraction and he gave us a firm "don't touch that motherf*cker" lol We could have easily killed him and taken his loot, but why be jerks?

(Side note rant to all the youtubers claiming these trolls are simply looking for a pvp challenge: There's no challenge in going after an outnumbered enemy. That's called being a pussy.  P.U.S.S.Y.  As in vagina.)

I apologize on behalf of all PVPers who 4v1 just to 'get a kill'. I PVP most nights now and pretty much everyone is on our hit list. We are just out to rack up rank (xp) and dz funds. Occasionally we let a solo player pass when we're out hunting rogues, etc. I lead groups often and I can't stand it when people gloat, get cocky, and trash talk. I never do it, ever. Standing over corpses and clapping? I hate it and won't do it, even though I'm the one usually doing the killing. When I'm PvP'ing, I treat the zone as if I'm roll playing a 'rogue'. I track down and try to kill whoever I can. Of course there are exceptions, but I consider that a fair bet as the DZ is unfortunately our only outlet to PvP currently. The tides turn quite a bit and I'm dying like all the rest. I compliment groups when they perform well, and give shout outs to those willing to keep going at it. The cancer I believe is with the trash talking kids who think PvP is a place to shit all over anyone they kill. It's dumb that 'sportsman like conduct' doesn't seem to pass along to video games. Just imagine if every goal of a soccer (futbol) match ended in their team standing over the goal keeper tea-bagging and golf clap taunting. Umm.. can anyone say ejection?

I will say on the flip side that, if I am running a PvE DZ loot farm group.. I am playing defensively, even running away and hiding from rogue players at the time. They are annoying as hell when I'm trying to gather gear, but if I do get wrecked, I have to take it in stride. I grab another server, we adjust our strategy or farm loop, etc.

What I do hear from you though is that the solo experience in the DZ is horrific. I completely agree. No matter how good you are at PvP, you aren't going to 4v1 anyone consistently while loaded out to kill PvE mobs. You either run away when being pursued (which sucks), or you make peace with getting wrecked on occasion. They could fix this by giving solo players their own bracket / server. For instance, if player = solo, then spawn solo server with mobs scaled to you being solo.. just like missions do.

I have a feeling that I wouldn't like to run into your group, @Addihul, and I might get a little butt-hurt if I ran into you when you're on the rogue, but at least you have a code.

The DZ has been a Jekyll and Hyde experience, last night teamed with 2 players, we ran raids even ending up in DZ6 and farmed some great gear, weapons and a heap of DZ funds, tonight killed twice by 2 rogue pairs, shot in the back both times, in about 8 minutes and realised with these 4 running in pairs and several other players who I recognised and know they frequently also run rogue it was a night to go and do something else. My problem with the DZ is I can not team before going to the DZ it keeps pairing me with players 230 - 250, completely unsuitable. I have to enter solo and hope I can team up somehow, however when the rogues are rabbit plague deep on the ground it is a night to forget the DZ. I suggest a tick box for the zone you want to play in and if players are not available, so be it.
