Dwarven Lord Under The Mountain
The tiny changes and events that occur ... in the background that you often possibly miss ... in this game I find a constant source of, well, smiles. Last night something genuinely made me smile. I'd finished my dailies, done a couple of HVT's, run my dailies in Underground and just bought a new blueprint.

I went upstairs to recalibrate an item of gear. Now, upstairs you usually get the guy in the hoodie and the lady in the power suit having a discussion about a cleanup mission and how they need JTF armed support.

... not tonight. Tonight, something was...different. There was a little party, drinks were out, her and the hoodie guy and a few others who normally mill about or work sat at desks were stood in a tight circle chatting away, celebratory drinks in hand!

I got thinking...was this happening elsewhere...what was this all about?!?

Sure enough, I went downstairs and into the "civilian" area (normally quite quiet, sombre, subdued) ... they too were having a very similar celebration!!

I never got to the bottom of it but... wow! Its THESE details that keep me coming back. From the people arguing about eating rats, to the guy pissing up the wall of the local pharmacy through to things like this! I thought, all the destruction, dead bodies littering the streets...these guys had something to celebrate, maybe my character had done something special that night or it was a random event but still... after another evening of running through streets, passing sobbing women, dead and strung up JTF troopers... it was a little thing that made me happy.

What.. random environment things have you seen that have made you smile?

She used to have the habit of walking up, bumping into me and just staring.

Felt like i was being hit on.

She hasn't done that for a while though. Guess she figured i wasn't interested.

Well.. shooting Cleaners tanks and watching them flail about before exploding and flying through the air... .now that is a definition of a sick pleasure lol!

Exploding bullets!

Was doing some Ungerground earlier and one of our group was running a full set of Reclaimer. I'm not sure how it worked but it gave us infinite special ammo. All we had to do was to take it in turns to equip them.

@Oh. daesu- Funnily enough I thought of you when we were on. The lad running Reclaimer was my Aussie mate, Skippy. He tried to explain how it worked but I was too busy having fun and teasing him about rugby. ?
