Dec 2017 - How are you all doing.

So the Global Event is upon us again.

4 sets are up for grabs.

• How are you doing ?.
  
• What is your easiest and hardest commendations ?.
  
• Which missions do you cycle run to maximise your tokens ?.
  
• What are you hoping for ?.
  

Personally, I did all the missions apart from Stolen Signal (really don't like that one) and then looped Lexington a few times.

I tried the Security Wing skills commendation but then after doing it realised the whole team needs to be SW only skills.  Good luck with random Matchmaking....

I also tried the commendation where you don't kill anyone.  That was pretty hard, especially with a weak group and lots of lag.  Didn't manage that one.

I am not really in for any of the sets this time so may just save the tokens for the next GE, hopefully with tacticians.

Seems to be quite a few new players doing a lot fo run and gun but going down quite a bit.

with the gears sets and the 6 piece - is there really any call to run high-end?  or is that dead (yeah its dead).

I still run my 4 piece Tac build though quite a lot with a Inventive pack and a Classified holster (for the higher stats across all 3.

why?  I am pretty much decomposing everything that is not a classified.

High Electronics + Tac set bonuses + Inventive pack + Talented skill on the weapons gives good survivability, fairly good hitting capability with weapons and better with skills plus fast skill return (inc signaiture).

I also like walking down the street in the LZ, dropping a seeker as I jog past a bunch of bad guys and just keep jogging knowing they are all DEAD....

Sticky bomb is only 820k or so with no mods being used.  Works well with the shield and as healer.  I can run challenging solo with it so good enough  :6_smile: .

My last post for this build was before Classified so I will look to put another up in the Build thread where it has been tuned a bit more.

My gold builds I am deconstructing apart from that one though.

Haven't really tried 1.8. (some that i see look tankier tho)

Though I'm wary of off loading the gold. Some might be good in a hybrid build. Savage Reckless Relentless can still be good. Apart from a Tac build, I can't see using a backpack other than Ninja (when not 5/6 talent ing) Sorry Specialized youre out lol.

Yeah Tac builds still hold their own.

Other gear sets not. My perennial Firecrest doesn't bring it anymore.

Not available to try the GE at any time this week or next for that matter, so I’ll have to wait until GE 4 for my first try at at a GE.

GE has been extended until Wed next week it seems.  An extra day to get those classifieds.

So I succumbed and bought some boxes.  I have 3x D3FNC, 2x Banshee and 2x Nomad.

For some reason ive got more gear when ive saved up all my credits, spend on superiors and opened straight away

Yeah, I have seen that.  Opened 9k of caches and got some good ratios but then opening 2 at a time seems to be giving me 1 Classified, sometimes a duplicate.

Have 4x D3FNC, 4x Banchee, 3xNomad, 1xPred uniques types of pieces with some duplicates on top (2x gloves etc).

Bit more grinding....

My sticky bomb is a 1.4 million without stacking, classified can’t do that yet.

Managed to get all the sets, some poo rolls and low armor but enough to put a build together. The bleed on predator is crazy , my mates running nomad and it’s a tanky build and fun to watch and will be the next one I put together...D3 works well on stolen signal but I find it quite a boring gear set to use..

my fave has to be banshee so far. I’ve been going rogue and getting my manhunt level up, the constant ammo is a nice touch and the rewards for completing manhunt is very good, if you can get a few in. I’ve gone 4 firearms and 1 stamina ...

got clear sky down to a t but the grind is catching up with me now... I have had a break from Lex and can’t see myself stepping in there for a while...

tomorrow I’m going to get 10k ge credits and save them for the next event.

On a plus note though, got my last piece needed for Final Measure so finally have 6 pieces for that along with Sentries Call and DeadEye now.  Striker is still only 3 pieces

Playing Legendaries today and with a good team could do them pretty fast, especially Clear Sky.  Problem was the lag.  2 seconds between pressing and deploying the health station.  Emptying a clip and 2 seconds later 1 am dead as everything catches up.  Rubber banding all over the palce from players and enemies.  Got a few Deltas as well.

The extra levels in strike for the legendaries just aren't worth the trouble.

Everyone saying Ped is op'ed (nerf kick me sign). The other one is Nomad which is fairly strong (tho def way). So great to hear when you trial it.

The bleed is op, nomads an alright build , prefer it rolled more into firearms  then stamina...3 fire 2 stam

Ok. Hearing it was quite tanky. Tho in this game dedicated tanks aren't what they are. Still need the t2k.

Ive rolled off one stamina and put the rest into firearms... works better for me, so better t2k

That's annoying , hopefully the final day provides. Do you have hopes on a particular one, since all four sets are a rng-tease for you?

Not really.

Banshee is probably my least desirable as I am rarely in the DZ and the times I am I almost never see any hostile other players.

Enjoying Sentries Call (6 piece) at the moment.  Final Measure 6 piece is not really wowing me over the 5 piece performance.

Will probably do some more runs tonight (Freaking Lexington) to try and get more.

Oh, found a bug with Lexington as well.  Seems if you kill the guys coming out of the rooftop lift too quickly the lift button will not open the lift doors.  Only solution is for the team to die and you get to do that bit again and progress or restart the whole mission.  Unfortunately I was not able to kill myself with Sticky bomb and grenades last time and the team had to restart.  By the time I could throw a second grenade my health was back to max  :6_smile: .
