#TwitchTheDivision

I don't know if anyone else felt this way but, it kind of bugged me that some of the division youtubers and streamers didn't get a lot of love while a bunch of Destiny streamers did. Everyone that was doing Division content for months like robby(OWG), Boomslangg, and MarcoStyle, etc, didn't get their well deserved attention during the beta. IMO. Even though I streamed the beta, I don't consider myself a streamer or a youtuber so having almost no viewers is normal. I remember watching Boomslangg's stream and I think the viewer count was way below 50. Maybe I'm the crazy one but it just seems wrong that Destiny streamers that have zero Division content can just swoop in and gain all of the viewership. How do you guys feel?

I noticed that also, just shows the kind of audience they want.

yeah i saw that. Most people tuning into the larger guys tune into them everyday, and not because they play a certain game. They just appreciate the show that the person is putting on. If we as a community want certain people to represent it, then we need to get the word our about them. Part of the motivating factor for starting #TwitchTheDivision was to help The Division build its own streaming community. Which we will continue to do. The best advice i can give is if you like someone promote them. Twitter out when they are playing, get involved in their stream community, share the link to their work as much as you can.

also Destiny has big plans for this year. As that starts to drop the people who rose to popularity in the Destiny community will return to that, as it is there bread and butter. The people who are rising in the Division community will most likely still be around creating content for the community to enjoy.

The problem is, quite frankly, with Twitch itself. They are so large and so popular that they have no incentive to help the smaller streamers. They know where their money is coming from and, as a business, they are going to promote that product.

That is part of my reason for making the switch to Hitbox. Partnered from Day1, sub button and all. I know they don't have the viewership when compared to Twitch but I can get noticed there a lot easier.

OK, joined up to the discord I think. Did a test run of my streaming tonight,  will do another tomorrow night before launch. So willing and ready to help when needed
