Trying to snipe...

Bang! Target ducked.

Target was surprised, he stood back up looking at my direction.

Bang again, target moved his head to the left.

Third bang. Now target moved his head to the right.

Fourth bang, target swiftly moved to a sandsack stack for cover.

A tip of his head was seen! So there goes the fifth bang.

And he ducked again, completely covered himself. The last bullet in the clip was shot in vain.

I think I was trying to shoot Neo.

The providence, Media Luna, those Unidadies must have had too much money left over in the budget for SAMs. They seem to be everywhere.

Attempt #1.

I figured this unidad base would have a couple of SAM sites. So, I thought I'd be clever and steal the medi copter, fly low out across the base and dive straight down into the neighboring gorge, and thus out of SAM sight. I felt every so clever....

Alas, there was a SAM site in the gorge, and since the medi copter manoeuvres like a full laden truck, I was toast.

Attempt #2.

This time, I figured I'd take out the SAM site in the gorge and on base prior to stealing the copter.

Alas, I found there wasn't just another SAM site down near the river but two. Toast again.

Attempt #3.

Looking at the map figured the SAM sites are typically off terrain, so I flew out following the road network. Which worked fine. Unfortunately, so was a unidad helicopter patrol armed with missles.

Attempt #4.

I noticed there was also an option to steal a plane from the same said base. Being over the lumbering flying truck, I thought this might be easier. And it was. The plan was faster and more maneuverable than the medi copter. As it would happen, the rebel rendezvous was  within range of another SAM site.  Nearly landed it, but the rebels don't accept delivery of flaming wrecks falling from the sky.

This whole be careful of destroying the truck is lost on me. At what point is it s destroyed an not tagable? Motar strike?

I mean the rebels must be fairly mechanically competent to get this going again.

You just said tag it, you didn't say what condition it needed to be in.  As long as you tag it and get the Mission Complete, ain't nobody care if it blows up or disintegrates afterwards.
