GE Ambush Talk

Ambush seems simple enough. You start off fully buffed, once the combat starts. So you can effectively rush to a place to camp. 

Hvt are a breeze with Ambush. Haven't tried Lex but imagine it's still straight forward.

So what are you guys running?

OK, did a PvE bosses run with Class Sentry and the Heel.

WOW - what fun!  With all buff over 2 million headshots.  And to top it off got a class Tacticians holster!  This GE is starting off really good.

So depending on which ones you get, the HVT weeklies netted me enough GE credits for 4 caches.  Well worth doing.

im running either sentry or tactician for pve and striker for pvp...managed to get the masks , they’re pretty cool. I run a bit of lex until it bored me , which didn’t take long few runs in Hudson and Times Square and then went into the dz and killed bosses...had a good run.

got a few tac pieces which I’ve incorporated into my build, always nice to see an electronics boost. Curious to see how the six piece will work for me, or if I will still prefer Barrett’s , inventive etc

Have 3 Tact now but one is the backpack which removes my inventive one.  30k drop in SP but then it was only that high whilst at full health  :6_smile: .

Cycling Lexington in 6 minutes with a random team this morning.  Add a little for reset and restart etc so around 4-5 caches per hour.  That was a fast group of randoms though with at least one striker classified guy plus me with Sentries.

Trying to do the 5 kills in under 8 secs on an Ambush mission but the last time (have 4/5) just does not seem to want to trigger.  Have run a number of missions solo on hard to get the fast kills but no luck.

Oh and Dragons Nest with randoms is (was last night) a mess with randoms.  We failed 3 times because no one else would push the second button (last set).  Final completed after I had to keep chatting during the run 'push button now'... I have less hair now than yesterday morning  :1_grinning: .

Think I might swap my barrets first and see how that feels ..

as for the 5 kills, would the second stage of lex not be a good choice when theyre bunched in the lift lobby...I can take them out with one sticky so might be worth a go.

Had a play around with 6 pc firecrest, not too bad. Just enough electronics to unlock determined, 4K stamina and the rest into firearms.. air burst and turret. Though you do go on fire quite easily with the 6th talent ,I  think that needs to be looked into.

Playing with randoms can go two ways , either really well or a disaster, especially incursions...

Especially in incursions where two people need to do something in a coordinated manner  :4_joy: .

Run and gun most can cope with.  Pushing two buttons at the same time ..... that seems to challenge quite a few...

TBH I suspect there are a fair few new players.  One guy kept running out of my reclaimers box area every time the fire hit the floor  :50_open_mouth: .

Tacs sweeping the HVTs. (Ambush makes a tac shoot hard so best of both worlds. But missions are to quick for a tac to be effective)

Running LS and Strikers for Lex.  

Roamed the DZ which was fairly quite so easy to find bosses

This GE is fun. Lex still king for quick GE credits, but hit the HVT weekly's, much faster and as noted good for 4 Superior Caches.  And for me, I can do them 4 times  :1_grinning:

And I finally made a matrix for all my class gear. For all sets I am missing 18 pieces.

As @genedjr mentions above, I also just remembered each Agent can run the HVT weeklies so have cleared with two and now need a few more Intel for my third lvl 30 agent to do as well.  My 4th is under lvl 30.

From Killing shit.  :1_grinning:   It is fairly straight forward. Still a grind, tho.

Three masks. One from killing in cover (this GE Ambush gives a dmg bonus if you stay in cover)

One from killing while moving.

And another for Melee kills in Ambush missions(maybe certain ones; not quite sure)

Wasn't boss kills 75GE credits? 150 does make killing bosses worthwhile. But yeah Lex is still the King

I suspect they either nerfed the superior caches or they have an issue (maybe server lag related).

10 caches opened this evening (should be 20 items + any bonus items).

Yes they were Superior caches... I get better odds just doing resistance.

When I played this morning they were the other way round.  It is only this evening that it has gone like this (hence server load maybe a factor).

Seems it is house day though as I get two (cache and boss drop).  Both were also worth keeping.

Have also had a play with FireCrest today.  With all the speed runs, not much time for the fire turret to actually do much before the enemies are all down...  6th Piece should be fun though.  It was on the PTS but the 'on fire' issue @Jaypeg mentions above has forced me to spec in to burn resistance as well.

Firecrest is working really well for me ...speccing into DTE And Im using LMG’s (big al and l86).

All other sets I’m missing one piece. Just want tac knees and I’ll be content.

Having said that, I'm running a Alphabridge / Pred Mark as my fav GE giuld.
