Seeking Tips for Beginners in The Division

Hey everyone,

I am new to The Division and looking for some advice on getting started. I have played a few hours, but I still feel like I am missing out on important tips or tricks to improve my gameplay. I would appreciate any advice on things like:

• Best weapons/gear to focus on early game
• How to effectively level up
• General tips for playing solo or with a team
• Any strategies for surviving in the Dark Zone

Also are there any must-do activities or missions I should prioritize in the beginning. I want to make sure I am building my character the right way.

Whilst leveling up there isn't really anything you need to look for as you level up pretty fast and change gear alot. However, try and buy the SMG Emeline (I think thats the name) if it appears with the vender. It seems to better than most SMG's you'll pick up.

High rates of fire are deffinately beneficial. I would rather have a weapon with a high rate of fire and a lower damage than vice versa.

Always try and have one of each type of weapon (assault Rifle, Rifle, LMG, SMG, Shotgun etc etc) so its less likely you'll run out of ammunition completely.

I personally like my first skill to be the turret. Its a second weapon that can help protect you.

Taking checkpoints is a fun way to get experience and gear.
