Hey peeps,

So downloaded the game. I've been trying to fix this black screen issue for about a hour. Seen a lot of people say alt-enter until it works. But that's what I've done for the past hour. I think I would work by now.

Any idea's folks? I've verified it multiple times, edited the res in the game files, and looked at my 3d rendering settings. Running out of ideas to try. May contact Ubisoft support about it, but I doubt they will do much.

Any thoughts would be appreciated people.

Did you try turning it off and on again?

Just kidding. But I've had this problem too. One of the main reasons because of this is most likely your processor; if it's not quad core, it ain't gonna run. I have a dual core pentium G3258 and I had to use an injector to make the game run. And I wouldn't recommend to play if you have dual core. NPCs will not load in, there will be invisible walls, lighting will freak the fuck out until you have a seizure. If you don't have a dual core, than I honestly don't know. Your only bet will be to contact Ubisoft support. Good luck.

Hey Photon,

I wouldn't even try running this on a dual core. That would just be a nightmare. Running on a Core 2 Quad q9505. It is a bit under the spec I believe. But it ran both beta's like a champ. I don't think hardware is a problem here really. As I saw a post on steam forums with a guy who was running a 4th gen i5 and a 980ti and was having the same problem.

I've contacted Ubisoft support, sent them all my details, and am waiting for a response. I'm sure they'll say it's my hardware. Ubisoft support tends to be pretty useless in my experience.

Update:

I started a reinstall of the game last night, launched it, and it seems to be working. So apparently verifying your files doesn't really fix a whole lot.
