Dark Zone Stories

So, @DeadSockPuppet, @Voyager42 and another friend were running the DZ this morning (last night in the US). We try and extract and this arsehat tries to join us. There's four of us together so clearly no room. He then goes rogue. We take him down in an instant but he comes back for more. And more. And more.

This idiot won't give up and it becomes repetitive. By this time we've achieved rogue status. Others get involved and take us down. It was quite dull. I decided to share my thoughts with him after and this is the brief conversation. ?

He crap thing about it is that one of our 4 was jumping off after the extraction so I was planning on picking him up, he just tried to jump us before I could send him a message.

Since DZ 201 is much safer now, I decreased my own GS to team with my mates to play there. There were many ridiculous players there like I saw last night.
I got inspired and switched about my gear with my alts to get into the 201 bracket. Ended up with gs222, without going into the dz231.

However my timezone is not so easy on pc getting a dz201 group. (not sure if a reflelction on my timezone or a sad indictment against pc world)The group finder needs to be better for that. It kept lump us with other dz231, which just causes dz mismatch, naturally enough. It would be possible if the lfg tool worked better, but constantly leave, or waiting for the dz231 peeps to leave gets dull fast.

We managed a 3 group team... and never saw another soul. So, rogues non existent. And the ai for pretty fierce compared to what we all remembered.

worth a try...

Nah, here on PS4 you'll hardly find a 201 group too. A lot of people have gotten their GS rate jacked to DZ231+ and doesn't know how to / don't want to 'lower' their GS - like one of my teammates currently.

Btw, I'm currently testing my latest DZ201 build by soloing DZ01. I keep running to the same group of 2 or another solos, but all are tame and I always back them up. Not even one Rogue pinged on the map in the last one hour. Lovely

Yeah, in the end i bracket by going 204/214 and working up until something pushed me into the dz231.

I might try the solo. Generally i find an ai in a empty dz worst than rogues. When they are full force on each street corner..  give me rogues lol.

Yea. Not sure why for some reason in Rogue-less DZ I often find heavy war on the streets between 2 faction with unusual number of NPC. Happened quite many times just now and we players were fending them off together without even teaming up. Goddamn beautiful scenery.

Hell, since we came across each other many times, we even grew trust and left our extraction packages even though the timer was still rolling.

That was my best DZ experience so far. When The Division actually work together instead of being the real enemies of The Division themselves. LMAO  :4_joy:

My timezone or platform is different. I stopped dz-ing between lv15 and 30 simply because of too few.

My feeling is that there are agents about even when you can't see them. (Maybe phantom sounds occasionally) But you can see fewer ai. When the ai are full force you are truly alone, or on your Pats Malone. Then it is so hard to move or manoeuvre a mob

Played this morning on what was an empty server

It was full on with NPC's but didn't mind every box I found was unopened so collected a fair bit still desperate for a specialised ( hoping that's purple ) primary weapon/smg

I collected lots of purple shotguns today and got hold of the paramedic and police backpacks which really help IMO.

Slowly starting to build my character now but in the last two days I have ranked from DZ 18 to DZ 24

stopped in the end as I ran out DZ keys and didn't know how long it takes for the boxes to reset seeing as I had cleaned dz 1,2 & 3

never played on dead servers before was nice but boring at the same time

Here is a strange story from yesterday.  I grouped up with some random folks who wanted to farm and we started a farming route from the west end of DZ6.  The other three had seemingly worked together previously, we were all in party chat, and things were going well with boss farming, until one of the guys had to leave.  There were some rogues around the map, so, we moved down to the parking garage to extract, just the three of us.  The extraction was about to leave, and I move to put my stuff on the rope, when up pops a group of 3-4 who open fire on us and go rogue.  I didn’t get a good count, b/c I was focusing on killing one guy and got downed by his 2 or 3 buddies, while my team was suddenly scarce.  My two groupmates made a run for it during the fight, as one had a sealed emerald cache and during the time that I was respawning and getting back to them, they had managed to get to an alley and hide.

I go back for my private stuff alone, b/c emerald guy still doesn’t want to risk his cache, and when I come out of the garage at ground level, I am greeted by three laser sights to the chest and an invite—from the group that just ambushed us.  I’ve got six things on my back that I don't feel like losing and I sense that a “No” would mean getting dropped again, so I say “Yes”, but I stayed in the original party and gave them a play-by-play.  Both I and my previous group kept expecting them to kick me, kill me, and take my stuff, but we rinsed through some bosses and a couple of Rogue fights where I both got revived by and revived others in the group at various points and we made a couple of extractions.

So, basically I got kidnapped this weekend in the DZ.

lol that's awesome. I was so annoyed. It was funny the first time or two then quickly became absolute BS.

Driven by the passion of grabbing the groovy limited edition ISAC Alex Scarf, my middle-aged lady character once again dressed in black like a ninja and stepped into DZ201.

Geared up to GS221, the Metal Gear Auntie was hunting for a hundred Veterans in the DZ01. It was full of solo players who were struggling to step up their game and today once again I felt happy to bring them the lantern of success. These random players I kept running into managed to survive Elites and Veterans enemies and extracted the loots.

One of them even changed his/her outfit into all black like mine. The other repeatedly invited me to their group. But I had no intention to roll in groups. I wanted to be a free mercenary and help everyone. Probably I was also the only GS220+ player in DZ01 they've met so far who doesn't act like a c*nt.

"Everybody Loves Everybody. Everybody Respect Everybody." is my DZ slogan and it worked well.

This is about how I spent my afternoon, although I finally did group up for the last 30 or so Veteran kills.  The things I do for clothes...

Here's my dark zone story I get killed by rogues in like 2 seconds since I entered and I die by enemies like nothing half the time there you go lol but seriously true story
I thought I had it bad, I at least get to the extraction point.  I've just grown tired of getting trolled in the DZ, but I hear it's pretty empty right now on PS4 with everyone running Underground, so I might give it a go.

Well here on xbox one it seems like even with underground people don't care ya know I get it that if your like level 50 witch I am in dz and this guy is 99 witch is like personally to me wow you got no life I see lol they will get the upper hand on you witch I really hate I mean why can't it just be if this guy has this much toughness and you have not so much why dose it have to be up to witch level your are that's stupid.

Ya know it's funny I love this game but at the same time I hate it.

There is no influence of DZ rank on how much damage you do or take, the rank just allows access to higher level gear from the vendors.  They might have good gear from all the stealing, but it isn't a guarantee.  The guys at 99 that like to go rogue have a lot of rank because they take down people like you and me; it isn't that they take down guys like you and me because they are rank 99.  I've killed some rogues with DZ ranks in the 90s and I am only rank 65, it is entirely doable with the right strategy, build, and skill.

DZ currently is emptier, but the number of Rogue is just the same.

So I assume they are dickwads killing another dickwads.

EDIT: this is my observation on DZ 231 and 201.

I just wished I have a tough team to wipe them out, including their backup friends.

Even though I can kill them on one-on-one, these pussies are running what they call as 'metagame'. So yeah, alone, I have no use.
